Dr. Abuzahrieh is a patient safety advocate with over twenty (22) years of experience in healthcare, of which 12 years in healthcare quality, patient safety and healthcare management.  He received:

  • MBA Degree with distinction from Chadron State College, Nebraska USA in 2012
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University, Ohio, USA in 2007
  • Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, USA in 1994

Dr. Abuzahrieh is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and Certified Professional in Health & Hospital Administration (CPHHA)

He has held several key positions in healthcare management, quality improvement, and patient safety. Currently, he is Deputy Chief Quality Officer at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center – Jeddah site, and serves as Medication Management and Essential Safety Requirements (ESR) Surveyor with the Central Board for Accrediting Healthcare Institution (CBAHI).

He has led and coordinated several successful performance improvement projects such as the implementation of the Hospital & Consumer Assessment for Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) tool at King Faisal Hospital, Improving patient Experience, and enhancing incident reporting.

Dr. Abuzahrieh has coordinated three successful Joint Commission Accreditation surveys, serves as an active member on various quality and patient safety committees and councils, and has presented as a keynote speaker at several national and international conferences and symposia.
